The lotus flower holds a special place in my heart. It is considered sacred in many cultures and religions. In general, however, the lotus commonly serves as a symbol of purity, rebirth, and strength. It also represents the transcending of the human spirit over worldly matter since it blooms from the underworld into the light. This is how I see creativity.
Creation begins in the void, the unknown which is represented by a blank canvas or paper, and then through the guidance of spirit it transcends into art or creative form. I love the process of creating not always knowing what will emerge.
I mainly paint intuitively using a process I learned while earning my Intentional Creativity® Teacher Certification.
