I have always been a creative person and as a child, I always loved making things. Whenever I completed a project I was working on, I would experience a sense of joy and accomplishment with my creation, art was my form of meditation, my way of communicating with The Creator.
I have always been drawn to the visual arts, especially drawing and painting. I love color, design, and texture. I was greatly inspired by art history classes, that I took in college as electives, especially the study of the Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary art periods. I love abstract art because I see it as a message the artist is sharing with the outside world, as well as a hidden code for the world to interpret.
Like many people, my artistic endeavors were put on hold because I was told that there were no real careers in art. Art is just a hobby. I need to get a real job and make a living. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
